Yorkshire Day 1st August 2009.
Stape Silver Band were joined by Kirkbymoorside Town Band and Swinton and District Excelsior Band
to celebrate their 125 year anniversary by holding a Massed Band Musical Spectacular in the Market Place of Pickering on the evening of Yorkshire Day.
The event was rather wet and the audience came prepared with their rain coats. The bands played on for as long as possible before the music was drenched and the instruments began to fill with water!!!
We have had many positive comments regarding the concert and we would like to thank Kirkbymoorside and Swinton Bands for their support in this event and also the audience who stayed despite the weather.
